Description:

  • We are searching for a new Sales Manager to join our Sales Team in Hong Kong and regionally.

Yardley Brothers Craft Brewery is dedicated to pushing the craft beer industry forward by producing creative unusual, quality beer. We combine the care and craftsmanship of traditional methods with forward-thinking innovation, forging a unique path for craft beer and setting trends in flavour and production. We have recently moved into a new brewhouse which more than triples our manufacturing capacity, moving from a 7 hectolitre system to a unique double 20 hectolitre system, allowing 4000 total litres of brewing capacity at any time.

What we are looking for: 

  • At least 2 years’ work experience in Sales, ideally in Food & Beverage, or evidence of a passion and experience in Craft Beer,

  • Enthusiasm for Craft Beer and Food,

  • Outgoing and highly personable character,

  • A passion for product knowledge -don’t be a sales person who just repeats a script, know your products deeply, spend time engaging with and learning from the production team.

  • Strong Communication skills, prompt follow up to customer enquiries, with strong preference for both English and Cantonese. Putonghua desirable,

  • Active listening skills. Identify the customer’s needs in order to target and sell the right product for them.

  • Time Management skills.

  • Strong Organizational skills, Maintain a methodical approach to sales with good record keeping at all times

  • Problem-solving skills, Proactively identify and solve issues as and before they arise.

  • Evidence of knowledge around beer or evidence of willingness to learn, including understanding of Draft Systems (training will be provided)

  • Ability to work independently, creating, maintaining and overseeing sales structures, responding proactively and with empathy, empowering employees and building a strong team,

  • Must have a valid HKID and the right to work in HK.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve our customers and help them sell more by providing them with the best and most innovative Craft Beer tastes to meet their customer’s wishes,

  • Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors,

  • Adjust content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor,

  • Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of customers,

  • Submit orders accurately and on time through our Brewery CRM,

  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses,

  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques, report back to senior management,

  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy based on evaluation of marketplace data, information, results and competitive developments,

  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management,

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies,

  • Provide ongoing records by maintaining records on area and customer sales,

  • When interacting with customers: asking questions to pinpoint the best offerings,

  • Ability to run tastings or presentations and maintain customer relationships,

  • Reaching out to potential leads through a variety of channels, including email, phone, text, and social media,

  • Provide key customer-facing support at a range of Events. Work with the marketing team at Beer Launches beer festivals locally and internationally.

 Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knowledge about and interest in Craft Beer,

  • Fluent English, Cantonese, and Putonghua preferred,

  • BA/BS University Degree,

  • 2-3 years of sales experience preferred, but passion and personality the most important,

  • Outgoing, sales-focused personality,

  • Familiarity with CRM systems, office, and phone systems.
